Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of The Acquirers Club website, free Community, resources and related services.

Effective date: 9 October 2026 · Version: 1.0

1. Operator and definitions

The Acquirers Club is operated by Acquisitiv ("we", "us", "our") at club.acquisitiv.co.uk.

In these terms:

  • "Club" means The Acquirers Club, including all its services.
  • "Community" means the free membership tier and its discussion spaces.
  • "Member" means anyone registered for the Community or a paid programme.
  • "Website" means the Club's website and any member area.
  • "Services" means the Website, Community, resources, briefings, events and programmes we provide.

2. Eligibility

The Club is designed mainly for established business owners and senior decision-makers who have genuine plans to grow through acquisition. You must be at least 18 years old to join.

We may decline a registration or application, or remove a member, in line with these terms and our Community Guidelines.

3. Membership

You join the free Community by registering with your first name and work email and accepting these terms. Free membership includes access to the community, introductory resources, selected market insights and live briefings, as described on our website.

You can cancel your free membership at any time by asking us to close your account.

Free membership does not entitle you to paid Membership, the Accelerator or any other paid service.

4. Account responsibilities

You agree to give accurate information, keep your login details secure, and not share your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

5. Community conduct

Our Community Guidelines form part of these terms. By joining, you agree to follow them.

6. Educational information

Resources, discussions and briefings are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not individually tailored M&A, legal, tax, financial, investment or other professional advice.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, and for getting appropriate independent professional advice before acting on any transaction.

7. Acquisition opportunities

The Club does not guarantee access to acquisition targets, successful transactions, funding or financial returns.

8. Intellectual property

We, or our licensors, own the content on the Website and in our resources. You may use our resources for your own business purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, publish or resell them, or share them outside the Club, without our written permission.

9. Member content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, store and moderate your content so we can run the Club. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for reasonable backup copies and where we must keep it by law.

You must have the right to post anything you share, and it must follow our Community Guidelines.

10. Confidentiality

Members must respect confidential information shared in the Club, as set out in our Community Guidelines. However, joining the Club does not create a non-disclosure agreement between members, or between you and us. It also does not create a professional adviser-client relationship.

Do not share confidential live-deal information without appropriate protections.

11. Paid services

Acquirer Membership and the Acquisition Accelerator will have their own product-specific terms. These will cover fees, payment, cancellation, delivery and your statutory rights. They will be provided before you buy.

Joining a waitlist or requesting an invitation does not commit you to buy, and does not guarantee a place.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove a member who seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms or the Community Guidelines. Where reasonable, we will explain why and give you the chance to respond first. We may act immediately where needed to protect members or comply with the law.

You may end your membership at any time.

13. Third-party services

The Website may link to services run by independent providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

14. Service availability

We aim to keep the Services available, but they may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may change or improve the Services over time, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

15. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for business losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or losses arising from acquisition decisions you make, arising from your use of the free Services.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell members about material changes by email or on the Website before they take effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can close your account.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
