Website terms of use
Last updated
These terms cover your use of acquisitiv.co.uk. They are not the terms on which we act for clients. Those are set out in a separate engagement letter. By using this site you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Who runs this site?
Acquisitiv is a trading name of Kelvin Lane Growth Partners Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under number SC626329, registered office 100 West Regent Street, Glasgow G2 1PB. Our offices are at 100 West Regent Street, Glasgow G2 1PB and 5th Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. You can contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Acquisitiv is part of the CDI Global network of M&A advisers.
Is the content on this site advice?
No. Articles, templates, checklists, examples and emails from the Acquirers Club are general information. They are not financial, legal, tax, valuation or investment advice, and they don't take account of your situation. Rules and market conditions change, so some content may be out of date.
Before you act on anything, take advice on your own circumstances from a suitably qualified adviser. Buying a business carries real risk, and no article can remove it.
When do you become our client?
Only when we have both signed an engagement letter. Reading the site, joining the Acquirers Club, applying for the Accelerator, booking a free briefing or emailing us does not make us your adviser and does not create any duty of care to you. If we agree to work together, the engagement letter sets out the scope, fees and terms, and it takes priority over anything on this site.
What about the prices shown?
This site describes how we charge but does not publish prices. Fees, scope and payment terms are those in the signed engagement letter or programme terms, and VAT is added at the current rate.
Who owns the content?
We (or the people who license content to us) own the copyright and other rights in the site, including text, templates, checklists and design. You may view, print and download content for your own business use. You may not copy, republish, sell or pass off our content as your own without our written permission. You're welcome to share a link to any page.
"Acquisitiv" is our trading name and brand.
Links to other websites
We link to other sites, such as GOV.UK, Companies House and the ICO, because they're useful. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
What are the limits on our liability?
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be complete, current, or free from errors, interruptions or viruses. Use reasonable virus protection of your own.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content. This includes loss of profit, business, opportunity or data, and any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, these terms don't affect your statutory rights.
How you may use the site
Please don't misuse the site. That means no attempts to hack, overload or disrupt it, no introducing malicious code, and no scraping content at scale.
Privacy and cookies
Our privacy notice and cookie policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last reviewed. Please check back from time to time.
Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland [to be confirmed], and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
